  • I normally don’t post on Sunday’s but I love this photo of my mom. One year ago we went on an adventure in South Korea during the fall season. It was amazing! It was so affordable to travel all around the country. We went to from one end to the other (Seoul to Busan) and it only took a few hours and it was like $50 per ticket! She picked up a bunch of leaves here and threw it in the sky 🍁🍂 All of my favorite trips are with my mom. ❤️
  • This past month has been so amazing - so many friends and family visiting and new friends moving into town. I love when people visit because I get to do things that I rarely do (for some reason). This past weekend makes me realize how much I miss my mountain bike! I love challenging myself and riding my mtb definitely does that. Here are some of my favorite pictures from this past weekend.
  • About a year ago I was exploring South Korea during the autumn season. My favorite season EVER. The trees were so vibrant and full of colors that popped. I remember feeling so lucky that I got to go on this trip and spend time with my mom. Life is so amazing and so so so good. What’s your favorite season? 🍂🍁🎃
  • Every time I’m in a really beautiful place, I think of my dad. I think about all the great memories and how amazing he was. He’s no longer here with me physically, but mentally, he’s always there whenever I’m in a beautiful place. I remember being on this cruise, leaving Alaska and thinking about him. And then I saw a whale! I miss him so much, but it’s okay because I always feel him with me in beautiful moments like this.
  • August has been a whirlwind of emotions. Ba’cho started laser therapy, Coco’s bloody infection went away, I had a week of vomiting and feeling sick, and I finally started getting help for major emotional issues I’ve tried avoiding my entire life. It’s been a wild one. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve learned that it’s good to ask for help instead of riding through life pretending everything is just ok. This is my reminder to you that asking for help is 1000% worth it. Whether it’s a life coach, therapist, talking with a friend, or getting some help in your business. It’s so worth it. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Life doesn’t get easier, but you get stronger. ⁣ ⁣ 📍Grand Mesa National Forest, Colorado
  • I started investing this year and let me tell you. It. Feels. So. Good. ⁣ ⁣ I put off investing for so long because when you’re self-employed, it’s a little bit harder. And then there were taxes involved. I literally knew nothing about retiring and investing last year.⁣ ⁣ This year, I dove into numerous books, articles, guides, YouTube videos, everything. It was such a struggle because it was essentially like learning math. There were all these new terms I had to learn and how they all work together. But I also knew I needed to start investing ASAP to have the power of time and compounding on my side. ⁣ ⁣ If you’re putting off investing or have no clue what your plan is for retirement, I recommend reading Broke Millennial Takes On Investing. If you are thinking about retiring early, I recommend Work Optional. ⁣ ⁣ If I can do this, so can you. One year ago I was clueless. This year I’m contributing the max amount to my accounts.
  • I’m so proud of this guy. He’s over halfway done paying off his consumer debt and sticking to a budget. Not only that, he’s taking 36 credits this upcoming school year to graduate with his degree in computer science. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣ He’s been with me through it all - when I was making $800 a month as a teachers assistant and barely affording to live. Or when I got hit with a huge medical bill that I couldn’t pay (that was eventually forgiven). Or when I got on antidepressants and was absolutely miserable. I still remember the day, feeling hopeless. He told me he’d be right back - he got in his car, was gone for 30 minutes, and got back from B&N with a book called, “The Art of Happiness” by the Dalai Lama. The book really helped, but the thought of him doing that was even more special. ⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣ He told me the other day “It’s so cool that I knew you before all of this” - this meaning my business and what it’s become. Love this guy with my whole ❤️. P.S. 1) The first photo is from a murder mystery party, I was Snow White and he was a prince. 2) We only knew each other for a few days in the last photo. 3) He looks crazy in the second photo.
  • August is so exciting. Fall is near, Halloween is coming up, and it’s almost time to start my annual reading of the Harry Potter series. ⁣ ⁣ This month, my priorities are 1) create a draft of my 2nd paid product 2) updating all posts to be SEO-friendly 3) Creating a solid retirement plan 4) Signing onto disability insurance 5) Cycling 3x/per week. I’ve read 3 investing books the past few months and feel so good about understanding how it works (for the most part), especially being self-employed. The books I read and recommend are Work Optional by @our_nextlife, Broke Millennial Takes On Investing by @brokemillennialblog, and The Boglehead’s Guide to Investing. ⁣ ⁣ ✨What are your goals this month? 📖 Also, what are you currently reading?
