One of my favorite things to do on this blog is highlight the amazing stories of people killing it with their side hustles.

Back in college I had multiple side hustles that helped me make money while working fewer hours than a full-time job earning minimum wage. That’s just one of the reasons why I love side hustles so much.

Doing this also allowed for more hours to grow my business (this blog).

Today’s post is featuring stories of men and women who are earning $1,000+ with their printable side hustle. I love this side hustle because 1) It requires little time 2) You don’t need previous skills 3) You don’t need a social media following and 4) It’s passive income.

Here are 7 people making $1,000+ with their printable side hustle. Let’s get started!

Julie from The Swag Elephant

My friend Julie earns over $1,000 a month selling printables with her Etsy shop.

She creates printables for bachelorettes in the party games and decor niche. Julie’s shop has over 1,100 sales and provides a steady passive income stream.

$6,000 a year might not sound like a ton, but that’s enough to max out a Roth IRA in 2020. If you invested $6,000 a year from age 25 to 65, that’s over one million dollars at retirement just from your side hustle.

This is why side hustles are amazing.

Are you looking for a fun and profitable side hustle?

Selling printables on Etsy is the best side hustle out there right now. Tons of women are making between $100-$1000+ a month selling printables online (see their success stories here).

Jennifer from Edenwood Paperie

Jennifer from Edenwood Paperie creates the most beautiful wedding invitations. Take a look at her Etsy shop here.

She’s even branched out to other seasonal products like holiday party invites, menus, and thank you cards. She’s had almost 3,000 sales to date and has only been on Etsy for a year.

She’s a great example of what someone can do with this side hustle in such a short time frame.

Jennifer didn’t know about printables just a year ago. She enrolled in a course called E-Printables that taught her step-by-step how to do create a successful printable business. Now she has a successful 5-star rated Etsy shop.

Rachel at Prosperous Printables

Rachel at Prosperous Printables is in a unique niche specifically for business owners.

Her shop includes consent forms for clients of estheticians, brow artists, masseuses, and more. Business owners can find relief in these forms by protecting their business with clear communication with their clients.

I love how Rachel branched out into a niche that is in high demand and incredibly helpful to business owners.

This really shows just how creative you can get with printables.

The average printable in Rachel’s shop costs $10 and with almost 2,000 sales, that’s a good chunk of change for a side hustle.

Kevin from the Modern Printable Shop

This side hustle isn’t just for women. Kevin from the Modern Printable Shop is in the planner niche and has been very successful. His shop has over 3,500 sales to date with a perfect 5-star rating.

Kevin’s also a student of the course E-Printables, which he says gave him the resources he needed to start his successful Etsy shop. He also credits the community for helping him improve his business.

The E-Printables course includes access to a Facebook community of other people making money with printables.

Chelsea from Smart Money Mamas

Chelsea from Smart Money Mamas created a best-selling printable called the ICE Binder, AKA the In Case of Emergency Binder. The binder has over 90 pages of simple printable worksheets to organize everything your family may need to know in case an emergency happened.

The binder is broken down into 16 organized sections with everything from where to find important documents and valuables to basic financial information.

You can even opt to type into the forms on your computer and save everything there or print at home and write.

Chelsea’s ICE binder is even featured in the hit Netflix show Dead To Me. How crazy is that?

The In Case of Emergency Binder is a printable that is both necessary and helpful for families wanting to organize important documents. This is another great example of creating a printable that is a great sell.

Sasha from Your Frugal Friend

Sasha from the Etsy shop Your Frugal Friend is known for her finance printables.

Her five-star rated shop has almost 2,000 sales and she just started her shop a year ago. The average printable ranges from $2 to 20.

Sasha’s shop even has spreadsheets, so you can even grow your Etsy shop outside of printables by creating spreadsheets. People love buying spreadsheets because they’re all online, organized, and generally easy to use and keep track of.

Aimee from AimeeTodayPrintables

Aimee from the Etsy shop AimeeTodayPrintables has over 2,500 sales to date and is known for her life binders.

These binders help build life-changing habits and routines and I personally think they are so cute and well-made.

Life binders are such a hot sell because people love improving their lives and these binders do just that.

Aimee is great at marketing her printables. For example, she currently has a special promo going on that gives you a free binder normally sold for $21, free with any purchase in her shop.

How much money can people make selling printables?

The amount of money you make selling printables is truly up to you and how many hours you devote to this side hustle.

There are people making $1,000 a month selling printables to hundreds of thousands (though the latter is rare).

There are also people who spend a few hours a month making printables and create a passive income of $6,000 a year with their side hustle. It’s ultimately up to you how much money you make.

This side hustle isn’t typically a get rich, quit your day job side hustle, but it can provide a great stream of passive income on top of your full-time job.

Like I mentioned earlier, my friend Julie does this in her spare time and makes $6,000 a year, enough to max out a Roth IRA in 2020.

If you’re ready to start this side hustle today, check out the E-Printables Course that teaches you step-by-step how to make money selling printables on Etsy.

***The E-Printables Course is currently $50 off, so now is the perfect time to start this side hustle!***

Below is a screenshot of Julie’s printable earnings. I mentioned my friend Julie at the beginning of this article. She created the Bachelorette Scavenger Hunt printable. Creating printables is not her full-time job, it’s only passive income on top of her main form of her income.
