1. Sell Printables on Etsy

Are you looking for a side hustle that is flexible with your schedule and has a lot of growth potential? Selling printables on Etsy is a side hustle you may want to seriously consider.

Selling printables is my favorite side hustle on this list because it’s almost entirely passive income, meaning you do the work in one sitting, and then get paid for it for months to come. With just a few hours of work, my friend Julie has made over $5,000 selling printables.

What are printables? Printables are digital downloads that can be instantly downloaded online. This includes things like planners, art prints, coloring pages, journals, or games. People love printables because once you buy them, you get instant access and can print them as many times as you’d like. There’s no shipping or waiting time involved.

Are you wondering how to get started selling Etsy printables? My friend Julie created a free guide that includes a secret list of best-selling products by month and how to capitalize on seasonal trends to make tons of sales. It’s a free download and SO good!

Below is an example of a printable Julie made that is making her a lot of money!

2. Make dog treats at home

Did you know you can make $1,000+ a month part-time working at home with a dog treat business? You can even make $5,000-$8,000 from your home kitchen if you do it full-time. You can get your kids involved, work from home, create your own schedule, and make treats for dogs. I don’t think it gets better than that.

My friend Kristin runs a successful dog treat business from home and perfected the craft of selling dog treats. She even teaches others how to replicate her success in her course Diva Dog Bakery. However, I know you have a ton of questions about this and want to learn more before signing up for a course. That’s why Kristin offers a completely FREE workshop to answer all of your questions. Have more questions that aren’t covered in the workshop? You can contact Kristin via email. Get her free workshop here and see if this side hustle is for you.

3. Teaching English online to children

Teaching English online is an amazing way to make income at home, while on your own schedule. A company called VIPKID connects children in China with teachers from countries like the United States and U.K. VIPKID makes education accessible by bringing together young learners with educators through one-on-one online classes.

VIPKID is also rated as one of the top 10 places to work from GlassDoor and has tons of amazing perks!

Benefits of being a VIPKID Teacher:

4. Flipping items

Did you know you can make money by buying items and reselling them? You can earn even more money by fixing up an item and restoring it to a higher quality item. You’ve probably seen this all over Tik Tok. People pick up furniture on the side of the road, fix it into good condition, and resell it! Sometimes you don’t even have to fix anything at all and you can still make a great profit.

If you want to learn how to buy and resell items for profit, Flipper University is an affordable way to learn how to create a profitable selling business in less than 14 days. The creators of this course created a side hustle that made them $42,000 their first year of side hustling and now make them over $133,00 a year.

A student named Stacy of Flipper University made $373 in her first month. A few months later, her sales jumped to $1,505, the following month $3,598. She added up her total sales and made $60,307 since starting her side hustle. This is what’s possible with a flipping side hustle!

5. Surveys

You’re not going to get rich answering surveys, but they do provide a little cash when you need more money to buy groceries or household supplies.

To make money with surveys, all you do is fill out a quick profile sharing a little about you and then you can start answering questions and giving your opinions. You can also sign up for several survey site websites to see which survey site you like best and to see which one can earn you the most cash.

The top survey sites are:

After you get done completed Swagbucks surveys, you can redeem your “points” for gift cards (seen below).

6. Blogging

Blogging is an amazing way to make money by helping people around the world with your blog. You can have a crafts, finance, home decor, or food blog. All of these blogs have the potential to make money, and a lot of it! The options are endless.

Bloggers make money with affiliate marketing (recommending products), sponsored partnerships (working with brands), creating their own products, and advertising revenue. Blogging is an incredible side hustle that has so much potential to become a full-time business.

I also have a couple helpful articles to read:

If you want to learn more about blogging full-time and how to get started, I have an amazing *free* course here.

7. Pinterest Virtual Assistant

If you enjoy scrolling through Pinterest, becoming a Pinterest Virtual Assistant is the side hustle for you. A Pinterest Virtual Assistant is in charge of helping businesses thrive on Pinterest. Businesses need to be on Pinterest because there’s a lot of money to be made on that platform, which is why Pinterest VA’s are in such high demand.

Pinterest Virtual Assistant’s are in charge of Pinterest pins, descriptions, SEO, making sure their clients get a ton of traffic and leads from Pinterest, and so much more.

If you’re interested in becoming a Pinterest VA, here is a free workshop: How To Become A Pinterest Virtual Assistant And Land Your First Client.

Look at this example below of Suzie. She took the Pinterest VA course and is now a part-time Pinterest Virtual Assistant averaging $2,000 a month.

8. Become A Tax Preparer

Did you know you can get trained online to become a Tax Preparer? This in-demand remote job can be done from anywhere in the world. A Tax Preparer prepares, files, and assists in general tax forms.

To get started in this field, take a high-quality tax preparation course. Do your research to find the best one for you. After doing my research, I found that the TaxBiz Course is one of the best. You learn a step-by-step method to start and run a successful tax business. TaxBiz is a certified provider through the IRS, so you have the opportunity to indicate your authority as a Tax Preparer.

I know you have so many questions about starting a digital tax business. You’re probably wondering if something like this is for you. That’s why there’s a free workshop to answer all of your questions. You can also read reviews from graduates and students on Better Business Bureau and Facebook.

9. Proofreader

If you have a talent for proofreading, proofreading as a side hustle is for you.

Proofreading is a skill that is in high-demand because businesses need to look professional. When a business has mistakes in their writing, it doesn’t look good. I personally hire a proofreader for large projects and cannot imagine not having one.

Proofreaders can work remote and work from anywhere in the world. Having a computer and reliable internet access is a must. This is also a side hustle where working in your PJ’s isn’t frowned upon!

Here is a free workshop to help you turn your skills into a remote proofreading job.

10. Writing for both small & large publications

If you have a talent for writing or think it’s something that you’d enjoy, becoming a freelance writer is a great idea. I was a freelance writer in college and found it be an easy way to earn extra money by writing articles for websites.

If you’re interested in learning more about making money as a freelance writer, I have two helpful articles from women who freelance write full-time.

If after reading those articles you find yourself seriously interested in freelance writing but need help getting stated, Earn More Writing is a great course that teaches you everything you need to know to become a successful writer. There is also a free workshop I recommend signing up for called How To Build A Six-Figure Writing Career.

11. Sell digital stickers on Etsy

Besides selling printables, you can also sell digital stickers on Etsy. My friend Michelle sells digital planners and stickers on Etsy and has made over $700 her first month. In her second month, she made over $1,000!

Michelle even created an affordable course teaching others how to make money selling digital stickers. You don’t any prior skills and you do not need a background in drawing and no special software required. Basically, anyone can do this.

I love side hustles like this because you put in a few hours of work, upload your digital products to Etsy, and then earn extra money for months to come. You can check out the Digital Stickers Course here.

12. Tasker

Are you looking for an easy side hustle that helps people out? You may want to look into becoming a Tasker on Task Rabbit.

Task Rabbit connects Taskers with people who need help with services like grocery shopping, minor home repairs, moving, snow removal, computer help, and anything else you can think of that is a task.

You can go to Task Rabbit and click Become A Tasker in the bottom left corner. Search for your city and task that you’re best at and see what the going rates are.

13. Make and sell crafts

If you have a talent for making crafts, you can make money selling them. Crafts that make money include soaps, candles, bath bombs, jewelry, crochet/knit patterns, macrame hangings, hair accessories, furniture, and so much more. You can literally fall into a rabbit hole of craft ideas on Pinterest. There is so much inspiration there.

I also recently created a post called 6 Best Side Hustles For Making Money On Etsy. It features Etsy shops that I’ve personally purchased items from and shows how you can turn any craft into a small business idea.

Crafts you can make money from:

  • Crochet/knit items
  • Jewelry
  • Home decor
  • Custom art
  • Digital downloads like printables

14. Cleaning the environment

Did you know you can make money by cleaning parking lots? My friend Brian Winch started a cleaning service in 1981. He cleans commercial properties whether it be parking lots, sidewalks, or landscapes. Now, he also teaches other people how to get started.

I know what you’re thinking, how do you even get started doing something like this? CleanLots is a comprehensive guide that teaches you how to start and run a litter removal business. There’s a lot of money to be made in this space because let’s face it, parking lots can become a huge mess and it reflects poorly on the business.

15. Find a remote job on FlexJobs search engine

If you want a remote part-time or full-time job, FlexJobs is an online job marketplace similar to Indeed. FlexJobs is a step higher than Indeed because each job on FlexJobs goes through a thorough check to make sure it’s not a scam.

To browse and apply to jobs on FlexJobs, there’s a small fee since each job is scanned for quality and safety. If you don’t find a job, you can ask for a refund, no questions asked.

I personally tested FlexJobs, bought a 1-week membership to test out the site, and even asked for a refund. FlexJobs is a great tool for remote jobs.

Final Thoughts

There are so many benefits to side hustles but most importantly, they help you earn extra money! So whether you want money to pay for your groceries every month or you’re looking to turn your side hustle a full-time job, it’s totally up to you.
