I recently wrote a post on 15 college student jobs and it has become my most popular post on FITnancials. Because of that, I’ve decided to expand and share side hustles that are popular among parents.
Having children alone is a full-time job (I was a nanny once and OMG I don’t know how you parents do it). Still, sometimes stay at home moms (or dads) like to mix into a side hustle or two either because they enjoy it or want extra money.
The awesome thing about side hustles is that they can turn into full-time jobs or inspire someone to start a business of their own in the field.
Below are 20 jobs that are perfect for stay at home moms or dads.
Though blogging is not an easy or get rich quick job, it can become a great paying job if enough time and effort are put into it. I’ve been a full-time blogger since October and it has allowed me to keep a flexible schedule and travel freely whenever I wish. I’m also my own boss, which is one of the greatest things ever.
Do you already have a blog? Here are my top recommended courses and ebooks that have allowed me to work as a full-time travel blogger.
1. The Blogging Blueprint is the one course I wish I had when I started blogging. If you haven’t started a blog yet, or you don’t have a successful blog, this is the course to take. The course lays out everything you need to know about blogging in detail.
“The most important thing I’ve learned about blogging is that there is no magical technique that will grow your blog fast. There are, however, tried-and-true strategies that when implemented, will allow you to grow your blog the right way.” – Tiffany (the creator)
2. Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. You’ll learn absolutely everything you need to know about affiliate marketing from a 7 figure blogger (also my sister!).

- How to pick the right affiliate products to promote
- Required disclosures that need to be talked about
- Strategies to use in your marketing
- How to succeed on Pinterest
- PDF forms that will help you succeed
- How to never get rejected from a company, written by an affiliate manager
- and information is added regularly to stay updated and help you get the best education

Having a large following on Facebook can be tremendously beneficial to blogs, as it sends readers to your blog, which means more page views (more ad income), higher sales in affiliate marketing, and more
4. Six-Figure Blogger – CreateandGo bloggers Alex and Lauren share in a detailed course how they went from 0 to $50,000 a month with selling digital products and services. I’m in the beginning stages of planning a digital product on my blog, and I wanted to make sure I was learning from the pros.
5. Pinterest Traffic Avalanche – I’ve taken several courses and have read many ebooks on gaining traffic on Pinterest, and this is still the only course I recommend. Pinterest Traffic Avalanche goes over things I’ve never even heard of or thought about. After using the tactics from the course, my reach went up to 2.3 million in 1 month.
6. How I Went From 17k to 350k Monthly Page Views in 9 Months – The last ebook I recommend is by Lena, one of my favorite bloggers. She explains how she went from 17k to 350,000 views in 9 months, which is no small feat.
