A few years ago in college, I started dabbling into a bunch of different side hustles.

One of my side hustles turned into a full-time job and paid off my student loans, bought me a car, and helped me start my retirement fund early on.

I love side hustles because they open you to new possibilities. I would never be where I'm at today unless I started diving into random jobs.

Here are the four side hustles that make me $10,000 a month.

1. Blogging

I created this blog and made over $80,000 in my senior year of college (that's me in my first major feature by Forbes!).

If your dream is to become a full-time blogger and start a blog, I recommend starting a blog with Bluehost.

I started this blog in college and graduated my senior year making $80,000 a year. Now, I work from home, spend time with my family and dogs, and I get to take my family on nice trips and donate to my favorite charities.

Start a blog today for just $2.95/month with my step-by-step tutorial here. It's easy, painless, and takes less than 20 minutes to start a blog of your own. With my link, you get a discount from $7.99/month to $2.95/month.

If you need a little more help starting your blog, I even have a free How To Start A Successful Blog quick 5-day course that shows you step-by-step what to do AFTER you started your blog. This quick course is filled with a TON of value giving you everything you need to get started the best way.

2. Virtual Assistant

Aside from this blog, I'm a virtual assistant, and it's been a life-changing experience – here's why.

I'm a virtual assistant for a 7 figure blog, which allows me to see how a successful, profitable business works. Not only that, I get paid very well for assisting the business owner.

So many people ask me how to get started in this field, which is why I recommend $10KVA.

$10KVA teaches you exactly how to find your first client (and second, third, so on), how to set up your rates, and teaches you how to make $10,000 a month with virtual assisting. $10KVA simplifies the process of becoming a virtual assistant.

With businesses going online, this career space is going to grow exponentially.

You can learn more about $10KVA here – it's amazing.

Tips To Become A Virtual Assistant:

1) Host your services on websites like Fiverr, Upwork, Craigslist, Facebook groups for bloggers.

2) If you don't know how to become a virtual assistant, check out this course $10K VA here that walks you through every step of becoming a high-paying virtual assistant.

3) Read articles online about virtual assistants. There is plenty of information out there to absorb and learn from.

4) If you feel you don't have virtual assistant skills, think about what skills you've learned in your previous career settings. You may have more virtual assistant skills than you think.

3. Freelancing

I'm a freelance writer myself and love this area of work. Which is why when I came across Freelance Writing Simplified, I knew I had to read it and share it with my readers.

Freelance Writing Simplified teaches you a simplified approach to building a freelance writing business. Even better – the guide only costs $25.

You learn from a successful freelancer herself who had a dream of working from home – and is now a freelance writer full-time while traveling the world.

4. Apps

There are tons of ways to make money from apps, and my favorites are below.

1) Ebates is a website that pays cash back for purchases made online through hundreds of websites like Walmart, Best Buy, Kohls, Ulta, and hundreds more.

It's really easy to use and can be used on virtually any website. I click one button and it gives me cash back.

2) Ibotta is an app that pays cash back for groceries, clothes, toiletries, and a lot more.

One time I got $12 cash back for a purchase I made through Groupon.

Currently, there are deals like $1-$ two off pasta, toothpaste, yogurt, milk, soda, and a lot more.

Here are other side hustles I recommend if you're looking to be your own boss, work from home, or simply make some extra money.

1. Teach English online with VIPKID

Teaching English online is a great way to make income at home, while on your schedule.

VIPKID pays up to $25 per hour, and the entire curriculum is provided for you. Forbes even recognized VIPKID as one of the best places to work online.

To meet VIPKID application requirements, you need to have a bachelor's degree in any field, eligibility to work in the U.S. or Canada, and at least 1 year of teaching experience (includes tutoring, homeschooling, coaching, mentoring, and other life experiences).

With over 600,000 students, VIPKID is the leading platform for teaching English online.

2. Surveys

Filling out surveys to make money is an easy way to make money by simply providing your opinion to questions.

I genuinely enjoy surveys because I love sharing my opinion on things. I've always been into taking quizzes and surveys, so naturally, I love this method of making some extra cash.

Here are a few of my favorite surveys:

3. Professional Proofreader

Transform your passion for words and reading by becoming a professional proofreader.

I hire a proofreader for special projects which has been a must in my business. Proofreaders are a must for books, magazines, websites, and tons of other projects, so they're always in demand.

Proofreaders can earn between $17-$30 per hour and offers competitive pay and flexible hours while working from home.

Here is a free workshop that will show you if proofreading is right for you.

4. Bookkeeper

A bookkeeper's job is to keep records of financial transactions of a business.

Bookkeepers can make between $30,000-$60,000 per year. Becoming a bookkeeper has several benefits, such as low startup costs, high profit, and ability to work remotely.

If you're eager to learn more about becoming a bookkeeper, check out this free training that will show you the quickest and easiest way to start and run a successful virtual bookkeeping business.

5. Sell on Amazon

There are more than 100,000,000 (yes, million) Amazon Prime members. More than 50% of all Amazon sales come from third-party sellers.

Selling on Amazon is a legit way to make great money and isn't going away any time soon. And if you're completely lost on how to even get started selling on Amazon, bear with me for a sec.

My friend Jessica and her husband have perfected the art of selling on Amazon and have made well over $100,000 profit (their first year in the biz). Now, they make much more than that.

Jessica even has a FREE 7-day course that tells you everything you need to know in a simplified way to get started selling on Amazon. This side hustle (or full-time job) isn't going anywhere as Amazon selling has only touched the surface of what's possible.

6. Lower your bills and save money (I saved $290)

Billshark is a MUST for anyone who has a cell phone, cable, internet, or insurance bill and wants to lower their bill.

And trust me, it works because I've used it myself on 3 different bills and I've saved $290.

Here's how Billshark works:

  1. Send copies of your bills to Billshark. (I did this by uploading an online PDF of each bill).
  2. Billshark negotiates all of the bills you send in.
  3. You get notified if Billshark was successful. If they are, they take 40% of the savings. Ex. Billshark saved me $290 over the course of 6 months, so I pay them $116. I can do this in a monthly payment plan or all at once.

It's definitely worth the savings and it was such an easy process.

You can start lowering your bills with Billshark here.

7. Facebook Ad Manager

Did you know you can become a Facebook Ad Manager for businesses and make an extra $1,000+ a month with just 1 client?

Facebook Ad Managers are in charge of running ads for businesses to increase their customer base and income. In short terms, Facebook Ads can really help businesses grow.

There are over 27 million businesses in the U.S. with over 500,000 new businesses starting every month. Out of 27 million businesses, all you need is 1-2 clients to make $1,000 a month.

Many Facebook Ad Managers take on 10 clients a month, which can be roughly $10,000 a month.

You can learn how to become a Facebook Ads Manager in less than 28 days with the Facebook Side Hustle Course.

  1. Congrats on the growth of your blog and other projects. It’s amazing that you’re able to do all of that on top of being a full-time student!

    1. Thank you, Marc!

  2. I don’t want to call it a side hustle yet but I recently started selling on Poshmark and I’ve been amazed at what people will buy!

    1. That’s good to know you’ve had success on it. I hear mixed reviews!

  3. Awesome report and way to lay this out. Very smart. Congrats on the stellar results. I had my best month so far in Feb, too (around the same). Would love to catch up some time and trade idea.

    1. Sounds great. Feel free to email me any time!

  4. It’s exciting and inspiring to see your success, congrats! You must be extremely organized and productive to be a VA and manage your own blog. Do you use specific tools or strategies to manage your time?

    1. Thank you! I’m actually pretty terrible at time management. I’m still a senior in uni but I graduate this year. Once school is over I feel like things will really speed up on my blog! Hopefully. Haha. I also started a second blog and it’s hard to manage everything. I use a time clock app to make sure I log enough hours in each week and I use a calendar and to do list.

  5. I would like to get to 4000 per month income. Have a bunch of bills and getting close to retirement age. Don’t mind working but would like to control my own schedule.

    1. That’s what I love about blogging!
