1. Sell Etsy Printables

Julie from the blog Millennial Boss is killin’ it in the side hustle world by selling Etsy printables.

This side hustle is almost entirely passive, meaning you do the work in one sitting, and then get paid for it for months and years to come. With just a few hours of work, Julie’s made over $5,000 selling printables on Etsy.

Julie recently created Etsy Printables where she shows you exactly how to make money selling Etsy Printables. I’ve gone through it myself and plan on adding this as a side hustle myself because it’s one of the easiest ways to make passive income.

I did an AMAZING interview with Julie that you can check out here. She shares pictures of her printables, revenue dashboard, and exactly how you can get started.

3. Start A Blog

I created this blog and made over $80,000 in my senior year of college (that’s me in my first major feature by Forbes!).

Blogging isn’t easy and takes a lot of hard work. It’s not for everyone. I had to work for free for a long time to build this business from the ground up. If you feel that you can help people with a blog and inspire others to live better lives, a blog is a great way to do that. I make money with ad revenue, affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, and selling my own digital products.

If your dream is to become a full-time blogger and start a blog, I recommend starting a blog with Bluehost. Bluehost has 24/7 support, a money-back guarantee, and makes it as easy as possible to start a blog.

Start a blog today for just $2.95/month with my step-by-step tutorial here. It’s easy, painless, and takes less than 20 minutes to start a blog of your own. With my link, you get a discount from $7.99/month to $2.95/month.

Are you not sure where to start on creating a profitable blog? I recommend checking out this course roadmap to figure out where you should get started first!

4. Customer Service Representative

Customer service representatives are the go-between for customers and companies and may process orders, field complaints, or more.

What you do as a customer service representative will depend on the company you work for.

At FlexJobs, there are hundreds of new jobs being posted for customer service representatives.

These jobs are almost always entry-level, which means you don’t need any experience to get started.

5. Teaching English with EF Education

EF Education is an online platform where Chinese students connect with online English teachers.

As an online English teacher, you can make up to $20/hour plus bonuses. Perks include working remotely, setting your own schedule, and working at a job where employees feel happy and fulfilled with their work.

You can apply to become an EF Education teacher here.

6. Sell on Amazon

There are more than 100,000,000 (yes, million) Amazon Prime members. More than 50% of all Amazon sales come from third-party sellers.

Selling on Amazon is a legit way to make great money and isn’t going away any time soon. And if you’re completely lost on how to even get started selling on Amazon, bear with me for a sec.

My friend Jessica and her husband have perfected the art of selling on Amazon and have made well over $100,000 profit (their first year in the biz). Now, they make much more than that.

Jessica even has a FREE 7-day course that tells you everything you need to know in a simplified way to get started selling on Amazon. This side hustle (or full-time job) isn’t going anywhere as Amazon selling has only touched the surface of what’s possible.

7. Freelance writing

I had no idea what freelance writing was (or that you could make money from it) until I met my friend Holly. I was even more shocked to see how much she makes as a freelance writer.

Holly makes six-figures with her freelance writing career; $225,000 a year to be exact.

There are hundreds of freelance writing jobs out there, but getting those freelance jobs isn’t easy, which is why Holly created Earn More Writing.

I used Earn More Writing to help me get started in the freelance writer field, which helped me land on sites like GoBankingRates and many others. I went from charging $50 to $250 per article and now, I know I can charge much more than that with my writing experience.

This work from home opportunity is legit, lucrative, and lets you work anywhere in the world. Holly travels (a ton!) and works all around the world.

In her free workshop, she shares her techniques she’s used to make six-figures freelance writing.

You can check out her course and free workshop here.

8. Instacart

Instacart is a great side hustle for people looking into making extra money. I’m sure you’ve seen Shoppers picking up groceries at the store – they’re usually in a bright green shirt with green Instacart bags in their hands.

What’s great about Instacart is you don’t even need a car. As an in-store shopper, you take shop orders only. If you want to make a little extra money, you can sign up to be a full-service shopper, whose job is to shop and deliver orders.

9. Surveys

Filling out surveys to make money is an easy way to make money by simply providing your opinion to questions.

I genuinely enjoy surveys because I love sharing my opinion on things. I’ve always been into taking surveys, so naturally, I love this method of making some extra cash.

Here are a few of my favorite surveys:

10. Bookkeeper

A bookkeeper’s job is to keep records of financial transactions of a business.

Bookkeepers can make between $30,000-$60,000 per year.

Becoming a bookkeeper has several benefits, such as low startup costs, high profit, and the ability to work remotely.

If you’re eager to learn more about becoming a bookkeeper, check out this free training that will show you the quickest and easiest way to start and run a successful virtual bookkeeping business.

11. Virtual Assistant

So many people ask me how to get started in this field, which is why I recommend $10KVA.

$10KVA teaches you exactly how to find your first client (and second, third, so on), how to set up your rates, and teaches you how to make $10,000 a month with virtual assisting. $10KVA simplifies the process of becoming a virtual assistant.

With businesses going online, this career space is going to grow exponentially.

You can learn more about $10KVA here – it’s amazing.

Several years ago I used to do a lot of freelance writing and it was a great experience. If you have a few recurring gigs (like weekly or monthly columns for a blog) you can make good money without needing to constantly look for work.

My wife and I also had a business selling on Amazon. We took an online course on selling private label products, and within a few months we had a really nice income. We wound up selling that business in 2017. There’s a lot of competition on Amazon, but if you can find the right products there is a lot of money to be made.

That’s so cool. I hear selling on Amazon can be very profitable!

  2. Christine

Love this article! I am working on getting my blog up and running and plan to open an Etsy shop soon! I work part-time at a “regular” job but really want to amp up my side hustles so I can beef up my income a little!

      That’s awesome!

This is a great list. I currently do a couple of these things. 2018 has been good for me so far. I’m seeing an increase in income which is always good. I have a feeling it will grow even more as the year continues.

    1. Alexis

That’s great! I bet it will grow as well. 🙂
