Teaching English abroad has become quite popular over the years, but what about teaching English from the comfort of your own home?
Working remotely means you can travel as you please, and reap thehttps://www.fitnancials.com/how-to-teach-eng…-make-20-an-hour/ benefits of teaching English without having to commit to a school for a year or more. I’ve had several friends that have become English teachers, and while there are many benefits to the job, there are a few downfalls as well.
Some of the cons of teaching English abroad are getting stuck in a job or contract that makes you work more hours than you were signed onto, getting constant pressure from parents, or sticking out of the crowd like a sore thumb.
If you’re not sure where to start, this is a helpful teachers survival guide on teaching English.

italki is an online service that connects you with language teachers from all around the world. You get to choose your hours, rates, and how many students you accept. There are 75+ languages to choose from, so if you know other languages, you can teach those as well. Teachers with good ratings, reviews, and structured services will get the most students.
italki currently has over 2 million students, which means there are more than plenty of students to go around. Using a service provider such as italki can be better versus a site like Craigslist because they ensure you get paid, will help solve issues with students, and can even handle international payments.
Teachers with good ratings, reviews, and structured services will get the most students. Out of all the listed websites, I’d say you can make the most on italki, although there are raises and bonuses offered on other websites.

The English language is one of the most sought out languages in the world due to it being the most commonly spoken language on earth. Because of that, native English speakers will have the best chance of scoring a job versus English speakers from other countries, even the United Kingdom.
Although this post is targeted to English speakers, italki and Craigslist can also be used for people who speak other languages, too. Teaching English can be a great form of supplemental income and can even become a full-time income.
