Did you know you can get trained online to become a Tax Preparer?

This in-demand remote job can be done from anywhere in the world. A Tax Preparer prepares, files, and assists in general tax forms.

To get started in this field, take a high-quality tax preparation course. Do your research to find the best one for you. After doing my research, I found that the TaxBiz Course is one of the best.

I was a dog walker for a long time and it was one of my favorite side hustles. It never felt like work and I always enjoyed every job.

To find a dog walking job, you can:

Print out flyers and post them around town with your experience and contact information
Create a profile on Rover (which is where I found my dog walking jobs)
Apply to work at a dog care company in your town (there are many, even in small towns)

Most dog walking jobs pay between $10-$30 per hour depending on how many dogs, experience you have, and if the dogs need any specialty care.

Tasker

Similar to Instacart, you can also become a Tasker for Task Rabbit.

Task Rabbit connects Taskers with people who need help with services like grocery shopping, minor home repairs, moving, snow removal, computer help, and anything else you can think of that is a task.

You can go to Task Rabbit and click Become A Tasker in the bottom left corner. Search for your city and task that you’re best at and see what the going rates are.

Amazon FBA

If you’re interested in reselling items, Amazon is also a great place to sell items. My friends earn a six-figure income reselling items via Amazon FBA and find that it’s the easiest and best place to resell items.

Not sure what Amazon FBA even means?

An Amazon FBA business is an online store, but in this case, Amazon handles a lot of the stuff that causes headaches for most e-commerce store owners. “FBA” stands for “Fulfillment by Amazon.”

So you find the inventory, while Amazon stores the product for you, packs and ships it, and handles customer service. Amazon then keeps a portion of the sales as a commission & service fee. And like I mentioned earlier, my friends earned over $100,000 from reselling items via Amazon FBA.

A side hustle could be finding ways to save money.

The pay isn’t lucrative, but it makes for a decent living if you want to work from home and essentially be your own boss.

Applying to a company hiring Google raters (like Appen or Lionbridge)

To get an idea of what freelance services you can provide, check out Fiverr. Fiverr is a freelance service marketplace that you can host your services on and hire freelancers yourself.

If you have a service you can provide to people online, host your services and tell people what you can do for them. Build your portfolio and gain experience so it gets easier to get clientele.

Rakuten

Rakuten lets you earn cash back at your favorite stores.

I’ve been using Rakuten for years and have made so much money through them just by doing my regular shopping.

I typically earn 1%-10% cash back and get paid via PayPal or gift cards. Earn a $10 welcome bonus here for signing up for Rakuten.

To make things easier, Rakuten recently come out with a browser extension that automatically applies coupons and activates cash back at stores you shop at online.

I love and highly recommend this extension so you never forget to apply Ebates at checkout. I used to forget so often and I hate thinking about the money I missed out on.

Below is an example of Walmart’s cash back on Rakuten. It’s such an easy way to save money.

Ibotta

Ibotta is similar to Ebates, but is great for in-person shopping, particularly at grocery stores. You can find cash back on a ton of groceries, including fruits and vegetables.

You get paid cash via PayPal or gift cards.

Ibotta is also really cool because when you refer people to Ibotta, you create a team which helps you earn even more money when you use the app.

Sell items you no longer use

This is a great time to clean and organize your house.

Start a sell or donate pile and start listing your items online. Check out what other people are listing similar items for and list it for the same price.

Create a high-quality listing by sharing details of the item, high-quality pictures, and stating you only want serious inquiries.

We’ve personally sold used furniture, bike parts, scooters, and other random items we stopped using this year. We found the most success on Facebook marketplace.

Billshark is a company that negotiates bills for you. They have professional negotiators on staff that call bill companies for you to lower your bills.

I’ve personally used Billshark to lower my cell phone and internet bill. I saved over $290 in 1 year with Billshark and instead got to use that money on things that I enjoy.

CIT Bank

A quick way to earn extra money is by using an online bank. Online banks are known for providing much higher savings rates than your traditional local bank.

For example, my local bank offers a savings rate of 0.02% on a savings account (literally pennies), while my online bank currently offers 1.00%.

Before the craziness started in 2020, my online bank savings rate was 2.00%.

Savings rates are affected by the Federal Reserve, which is why you often see a lot of changes with savings rates.

If you have a savings account or emergency fund, you may as well take advantage of online banks and their higher saving rates so your money earns money while sitting in the account.
