Starting your own business gives you freedom, flexibility, and the power to make even more money than you imagined. I remember starting my blog back in 2013 and I never thought it would bring me to where I am now.

Before we get started, make sure to sign up for my free resource library. I share some pretty amazing free stuff that you need to check out, and who doesn’t love free stuff?

1. Flipping stuff for profit

Did you know you can make money by buying items and reselling them? You can earn even more money by fixing up an item and restoring it to a higher quality item.

If you want to learn how to buy and resell items for profit, Flipper University is an affordable way to learn how to create a profitable selling business in less than 14 days. The creators of this course created a side hustle that made them $42,000 their first year of side hustling and now make them over $133,00 a year.

A student of Flipper University made $373 in her first month. A few months later, her sales jumped to $1,505, the following month $3,598. She added up her total sales and made $60,307 since starting her side hustle. Really incredible.

2. Pinterest Virtual Assistant

If you enjoy scrolling through Pinterest, I have the side hustle for you. A Pinterest Virtual Assistant is in charge of helping businesses thrive on Pinterest. Businesses need to be on Pinterest because there’s a lot of money to be made on that platform, which is why Pinterest VA’s are in such high demand.

Pinterest Virtual Assistant’s are in charge of Pinterest pins, descriptions, SEO, making sure their clients get a ton of traffic and leads from Pinterest, and so much more.

If you’re interested in becoming a Pinterest VA, here is a free workshop: How To Become A Pinterest Virtual Assistant And Land Your First Client.

Look at this example below of Tara. She took the Pinterest VA course and is now a full-time Pinterest Virtual Assistant averaging $7,500 a month.

3. Make printables and sell on Etsy

Selling printables is my favorite side hustle on this list because it’s almost entirely passive income, meaning you do the work in one sitting, and then get paid for it for months and years to come. My friend Julie earns over $1,000 a month selling printables. She loves this side hustle and recommends it to anyone who is short on time, wants extra money, and wants to work from home.

Are you wondering how to get started selling Etsy printables? Julie even made a free guide which includes a secret list of best-selling products by month and how to capitalize on seasonal trends to make sales. It’s a free download and SO good!

Julie recently created a course called E-Printables where she shows you exactly how to make money selling printables online. I’ve gone through the course myself and plan on adding this as a side hustle myself because it’s one of the easiest ways to make passive income.

Here’s an example of a student who is has made thousands after taking the E-Printables course. She’s only been on Etsy for a year and already has over 2,000 sales!

4. Make dog treats at home

Did you know you can make $1,000+ a month part-time working at home with a dog treat business? You can even make $5,000-$8,000 from your home kitchen if you do it full-time. You can get your kids involved, work from home, create your own schedule, and make treats for dogs. I don’t think it gets better than that.

My friend Kristin runs a successful dog treat business from home and perfected the craft of selling dog treats. She even teaches others how to replicate her success in her course Diva Dog Bakery.

I know you have a ton of questions about this and want to learn more before signing up for a course. That’s why Kristin offers a completely FREE workshop to answer all of your questions. Have more questions that aren’t covered in the workshop? You can contact Kristin via email. Get her free workshop here and see if this side hustle is for you.

5. Facebook Ad Manager

A Facebook Ad Manager is exactly what it sounds like, you manage Facebook ads for businesses.

You can earn $1,000-$2,000 with this side hustle, with many people going full-time and earning up to $10,000 a month. Local businesses hire Facebook Ad Managers because there’s a lot of money in Facebook. You can reach millions of people and make a lot of money by getting new customers and clientele to your business.

Here’s a free training that teaches you which side hustles to avoid and why becoming a Facebook Ad Manager is one of the best side hustles to start online. You even get access to a 3 step process to find clients that will hire you and how you can do this even if you’re brand new to advertising. Get the free training here.

6. Proofreader

If you have a talent for words and reading, proofreading is for you. Proofreading is a skill that is in high-demand because businesses need to look professional. When a business has mistakes in their writing, it’s not ideal. I personally hire a proofreader for large projects and cannot imagine not having one.

Proofreaders can work remote and from anywhere in the world. Having a computer and reliable internet access is a must.

Here is a free workshop to help you turn your skills into a remote proofreading job.

7. Blogging

Starting a blog is not a get rich quick scheme. The best way I can describe it is starting an online business. Most people don’t see a profit until a few months, maybe even a year of blogging. However, the benefits are amazing. I’ve been blogging full-time for 3 years and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.

I also have a couple helpful articles to read:

If you want to learn more about blogging full-time and how to get started, I have an amazing *free* course here.

The free course teaches you how to:

  • How to create your own blog from scratch
  • 10 things to do after launching your blog
  • How to monetize your blog from the beginning
  • The 1 blogging resource I recommend to new bloggers

8. Freelance writing

If you have a talent for writing or think it’s something that you’d enjoy, becoming a freelance writer is a great idea. I was a freelance writer in college and found it be an easy way to earn extra money by writing articles for websites.

If you’re interested in learning more about making money as a freelance writer, I have two helpful articles from women who freelance write full-time.

If after reading those articles you find yourself seriously interested in freelance writing but need help getting stated, Earn More Writing is a great course that teaches you everything you need to know to become a successful writer. There is also a free workshop I recommend signing up for called How To Build A Six-Figure Writing Career.

9. Virtual Assistant

If you prefer working for someone else and getting tasks assigned to you, becoming a virtual assistant is a great remote job. Virtual assistants complete tasks like answering emails, scheduling social media posts, creating graphics for Pinterest and Facebook, managing social media platforms like Instagram, and many other tasks.

If you are interested in learning how to become a virtual assistant, my friend Kayla teaches people everything they need to know to find jobs and make money doing this. She even has a free workshop here: 5 Steps To Become A Virtual Assistant.

10. Sell digital stickers on Etsy

Another great side hustle related to Etsy is selling digital planners and digital stickers. My friend Michelle sells digital planners and stickers on Etsy. Michelle personally uses digital planners and digital stickers, so she decided to sell them herself. She made over $700 her first month in profit. In her second month, she made over $1,000 in profit.

She even created an affordable course teaching others how to do the same, which you can see here. She even says you don’t need to have any prior skills, you do not need a background in drawing, no special software required, and anyone can do this. This is a great side hustle for people looking to make some extra money every month.

I love side hustles like this because you put in a few hours of work, upload your digital products to Etsy, and then earn extra money for months to come. You can check out the Digital Stickers Course here.

11. Cleaning the environment

Did you know you can make money by cleaning parking lots? My friend Brian Winch started a cleaning service in 1981. He cleans commercial properties whether it be parking lots, sidewalks, or landscapes. Now, he also teaches other people how to get started.

I know what you’re thinking, how do you even get started doing something like this? CleanLots is a comprehensive guide that teaches you how to start and run a litter removal business. There’s a lot of money to be made in this space because let’s face it, parking lots can become a huge mess and it reflects poorly on the business.

12. Sell handmade crafts

If you’re a crafty person, you can consider selling your handmade items online or in person at festivals and craft fairs. People are crazy about handmade things versus items you buy made in a factory overseas.

Some items you can consider making and selling are anything knitted or crocheted, pottery, macrame hangings, wreaths, baked goods, leather goods, and so on. The list is really endless on what you can do.

Here’s a post to give you 50 ideas of crafts you can make and sell.

I hope this has inspired you to start your own business and do something you enjoy.
