Temporary diets – don’t even get me started.
I could go on forever about this particular topic. Anytime I go into a supplement store, or anywhere for that matter, I hear of ladies talking about this new diet they are on. How they barely eat anything and exercise until their legs give out. All they do is cardio, and no weights.

Is this their fault? They are led to believe that all these temporary diets can make you lose weight quick. Maybe that can make you lose weight, but guess what they do right after? You gain it all back, and then some more. Maybe even a lot more. You also don’t gain any true knowledge about exercise and nutrition.
In the end, you’re stuck with a slow metabolism and a body that has no energy at all. Don’t be one of those people who say, “I ate only 500 calories today, how come I didn’t lose weight?” Don’t be surprised when you start gaining weight. All your body fat will cling on to you like no tomorrow, and it’ll be even harder to lose the fat.
Learn the right way
Lose weight the right way, and it’ll stick with you forever. Learn the tools now that will get you set for the rest of your life. Then once you have kids, you can share the tips with them and set them up on the right track, not failure and disaster. Make sure all the mistakes you made don’t get passed down onto the other generations. This is a delicate time for our society, children are passing on sooner than their parents are because of obesity. I know this can be a soft subject for some to hear, but by educating your children, you are making sure they live a strong, healthy life not a one that ends shortly because they are too much of the wrong foods.
That’s the thing about temporary diets they are temporary. In reality, you can’t stay on a temporary diet forever. It just doesn’t happen. It’s not humanly possible for someone to stick to a fad diet their whole life.
P.S. Don’t do HCG diets. Many years ago I purchased the HCG thinking it was going to make me lose weight. I wish I had someone telling me what I’m about to tell you. Of course, you’re going to lose weight by eating 500 calories a day and dropping some droplets in your mouth.
They also recommend that you don’t exercise, another bad thing they make you do. Maybe you’ll lose all the weight, but you’ll gain it right back. AND you won’t actually be learning how to eat and exercise in a healthy manner. Instead, you’ll be used to eating 500 calories a day and once you start to eat more, you’ll start to feel guilty as well, which can lead to binging episodes.
I’ve had so many people tell me they did the HCG diet, but gained it back and got stuck. They lost all their motivation to lose weight, well guess what people!? Don’t do a fad diet like this! You gain absolutely no knowledge and once again, no one can stick with HCG their whole life.
