These days, having body confidence seems to be pretty much out of the question.
Girls are constantly being bombarded with pictures of beautiful women in magazines and on the internet. We’ve learned by now that these aren’t realistic photos and are photoshopped in every single way possible.
Teen girls are the most heavily exposed to these photos and most have no idea how much they are changed all the way from skin to shapes of someone’s eyes.
Having body confidence truly starts with the mind in my opinion. When you have a healthy mind and look at life positively, you are more prone to have a better self-confidence as well.

Exercise and eat healthy food.
First off, exercising and eating healthy are some of the most important things you can do to help your self-confidence in your mind and body. When you are doing good things to your body inside and out, it makes you feel better overall. If you do these two things and are still struggling, don’t give up just yet.
I highly recommend checking out the 14-Day Lean Clean meal plan if you are trying to lose weight or get healthier. The book is filled with tons of useful information (over 200 pages worth!). I am using this meal plan to hit my health and fitness goals.
I believe having self-confidence isn’t all about what is on the outside. When you are proactive in all areas of life and doing things to keep your mind stimulated, you become more confident with yourself. Ever since I started school and obtained a great job, my confidence has boosted tremendously.
Try out all kinds of new activities, and when you excel at these activities, you will gain confidence. My activities that I would recommend would be kickboxing, because not only does it make you stronger, it’s pretty awesome to say that you know how to box. If that doesn’t suit you, you could take up something relaxing like knitting. All I’m trying to say is when you start to excel at something in life, you will notice your confidence rising.
See yourself differently.
Another tip of mine that personally helped me is looking at myself in a different light. Instead of looking at how my stomach isn’t perfect, or how my chin grows a strange long hair, I instead look at all of the things I do like about my body. I don’t just forget about the things I’m not particular fond of, but I simply work on learning to love the certain areas.
Obviously, I can simply pluck that annoying hair on my chin, or I can work on tightening up my stomach area, but I also want to work on being happy with what I have. I know a ton of people wish they could change things on their body but some simply don’t have the capability to do so. We all need to learn to love what we have, and if you simply can’t do that and honestly tried your hardest, find ways to make whatever you don’t like better.
Stop having a pity party and work on becoming healthier with your body and mind.
When a person is confident with themselves, they are less likely to get jealous of others because they are so happy and content with themselves. Being more confident has enabled me to look at the good in others and be kind to everyone, despite what is done to me. Being confident in yourself allows you to gain in all parts of your life.
