One of the biggest complaints I hear from people wanting to lose weight is that they either don’t have time, or it’s too much work. Basically, many people want to lose weight but don’t always have the motivation to do the work. That being said, I want to share with you some tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way to help you reach your goal in the easiest way possible. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. You know how they say less is more? This is how it works. By adding just a little exercise in the day, you start shedding the pounds and toning up.
Switch out the junk food for delicious, healthy alternatives. If you find yourself reaching for the snacks, try something like yogurt. I got into the kick lately of eating tomatoes like apples. Next thing I knew, I was down 6 pounds!
Take the dog for a walk. He could use it, and so could you. Let’s face it, walking a dog can make your otherwise boring walk a little better. If you can’t get your hands on a dog, pop your earbuds in and listen to your favorite music.
Break your food intake down. We’ve all been told since the dawn of time that we need 3 square meals a day to keep a healthy lifestyle. But, you can actually split it into 6 smaller meals throughout the day. So if you get hungry every 2 hours, eat every 2 hours!
Get yourself an app to help you count your calories and sodium intake. If you consider how many calories you need to eat and how many milligrams of sodium, you can keep track of what you eat by scanning barcodes and the app does all the work. By the way, you should try cooking with more spices instead of salt. All the top chefs do it and it will help you retain less water.
So there you have it! Minor changes that won’t kill you to make, and you can actually improve your lifestyle and help you lose weight.
