Ever since I moved to Chicago, I feel like I've been living in wonderland!
I am living in a suburb about 45 minutes from downtown Chicago and I have the freedom to visit the city whenever I want to. Eventually, I'd like to live closer to the city to the point where I'd never even need a vehicle.
I'm not able to afford the costs of living out there, so those days will have to wait. For now, I'll basically be like a tourist every time I visit downtown Chicago, even though I'm only a short drive away.

So we'll start off with my favorite thing to do in the city.
It's not going v come as a surprise to anyone because Chicago is known for this…. and it is pizza! I've been to Gino's East quite a few times, but I need to start trying out different pizza restaurants. I've also been to Pizzeria Uno a few times and I LOVED their sausage deep dish pizza. MMMMMM.
I love whenever my friends visit me because it gives me an excuse to chow down on some pizza. What are some of your favorite pizza spots in Chicago? I also love how almost every grocery store sells pizza from the top restaurants in Chicago. I don't even have to go to the actual restaurants, I can just go to the grocery store and cook it at home.
My second favorite thing to do is exploring the Magnificent Mile.
I love all of the different stores and my all time favorite store is the Forever21 in Chicago. It's humongous! I might be wrong, but it seems that there are 2 different Forever 21 stores within that walking district. Which I'm not complaining about.
I also love that you can watch the news being broadcasted right from the streets. All that is blocking you from the news broadcasters is a glass window, which I find pretty nifty!
The Sears and Hancock Tower are both buildings that I enjoy as well. I haven't been to the new part of the Sears tower where they let you stand on the glass that sticks out of the building. I'm deathly afraid of heights that I'd still like to experience that.
The Water Tower is a place I've loved going to since I was little. I'm pretty sure the Water Tower was in the movie Big with Tom Hanks as well. The toy store was absolutely amazing!
I absolutely love Chicago in the winter time. I love the snow covering everything and all the trees wrapped with white lights. Absolutely beautiful!
Now I'm going to mention something that I really want to do that I haven't done in a while. Probably like 15 years to be exact. I haven't been to the Shedd Aquarium in SO long. I can really only go on the weekends and that's when it is the most packed. All the tourists are in town and of course the Shedd Aquarium quite the hotspot.
What are your favorite things to do in Chicago? Any places that you want to go to?

I love that as well Manolis! I love when my friends visit me from out of town.
I went to chicago a loooooong time ago just for dinner I think. We ate pizza and left so I’d love to go back as an adult and explore it. There are way too many places on my list to go to that I will probably ever have time to visit but I’m sure going to try.

Definitely should come back Cece! Try Gino’s East if you haven’t already.
I wish I could go to Chicago more often. It seems like it might be too windy for me in the winter though. I’ll have to come get some pizza in the summer sometime.
It’s beautiful in the winter. I love the lights they put around the trees in Chicago. It gets pretty dang cold but it’s worth it!
I haven’t had a chance to travel to Chicago but just like you, I would love watching the news being broadcasted from the streets. So I will be definitely be heading that way soon.
