I look up to many fitness models in the Fitness industry. Fitness models play a big role in my life. They inspire and motivate me in a way I'm not capable of. Having someone to look up to kind of makes things easier because I can see real life examples and potential ways that I can improve myself.
Jennifer Nicole Lee
Jennifer Nicole Lee is one of my top favorite fitness models. I've seen her face in many magazine and supplement ads. Back in high school before I even cared about the healthy lifestyle, I saw a picture of her body in a supplement ad. I tore out the picture and was instantly inspired.
Her chiseled abs and strong, toned arms, she helped and pushed me to the idea of getting a toned body, instead of a ‘skinny fat' body. When I say skinny fat, I mean having a small body but no muscle or tightness.
She showed me that women can be beautiful and strong.
She didn't have a ‘thigh gap' but instead had strong, killer quads. I think women grow up to think they have to look a certain way, the ‘feminine' way. This might be what some women want, but the other women that want the strong, toned look, they shouldn't be criticized for having a muscular, toned body. I'm not talking bodybuilder kind of muscle, just toned and tightness.
What REALLY makes me love JNL, is that she was once like me before. She was overweight. Her before/after picture I found online and in her book… Unbelievable! I really couldn't believe it. She was beautiful before, but after it was shocking to a degree I can't even explain. She looked like a whole new person. Not only that, you could tell how happy and confident she was. She knows what it is like to be in an uncomfortable body and not happy with yourself. She showed me that if you put your mind to something, you can achieve it as long as you believe in yourself.
I was reading the Bodybuilding.com site when I first saw Jamie Eason. I was picking out a food and exercise plan they have available on their website. One of the plans was called “Jamie Eason's Livefit Trainer.”
I was reading into this plan and what it was all about, and was sold on the plan – not to mention the plan was free as well. She had videos for each stage of the plan and had videos to inspire you as well. She was so incredibly passionate about living the healthy lifestyle, it inspired me to help others and do my best and showing others what this lifestyle was all about. I follow her on Facebook as well, and she always posts inspiring statuses. She is currently pregnant, and still maintaining the healthy lifestyle to a certain degree. Such an inspiration!
I follow an endless amount of fitness models on Instagram. If you ever need inspiration, go to my Instagram and go to my Followers List. I have about 350. You will find everything from fitness models to people who post healthy recipes. (And the occasional Jersey Shore member.)
Do you have a person you go to for inspiration or motivation?
