Happy Friday everyone! I can’t believe it’s almost August already. I am about to sign up for classes for the fall 2015 semester and I’m beyond excited! I’ve been off of school for close to 3 months and am pretty excited to get closer to graduation.
I decided to start off with something new this week. Every month, I will be uploading a weekly roundup that consists of my favorite posts from the week. A lot of my time is spent reading articles from other bloggers, so I was inspired to start writing posts from my favorite bloggers. I love reading posts that add to my life, make me laugh, and educate me on different topics that I have no clue about.
Below are some of my favorite posts from this past couple of weeks.
Being a 20 something college student doesn’t give me plenty of room to go out on the town with friends. I try to save every dollar when possible, so reading this post gave me some inspiration to try out different activities with my friends.
This post had wittiness throughout. Being a 22-year-old girl living in America leaves me filled with pressure to fit a certain mold that the society leaves women. I’ve recently been jumping out that conformed box. What does this mean exactly? Well, for quite some time I’ve been trying to act and look like the way I believed society would want me to. It was physically and emotionally draining. This post gave me some enlightenment and hope that people will break out of their shells and act, however, they want and look however they want to as well.
I am obsessed with travel and even if I am at home and not traveling myself, I like living vicariously through other bloggers lives. Washington is also one of my all time FAVORITE states in America. The weather (yes, I love lots of rain). She also posted different spots to visit in Washington on a budget.
Saying no is something I really have difficulties with. I feel bad when I go into stores and come out buying nothing. It really is a problem that I need to work on and has been slowly been getting better over the years.
I immediately fell in love with this post just from reading the title. Who wouldn’t want to make a marshmallow slingshot?
- Start a full-time job (which really means get a job in the new town I live in Colorado!).
- Put $1,000 in savings.
- Lose 2% body fat. I’m currently around 22%.
Also, I recently wrote an article for Mint.com if you’d like to check it out!
What were some of your favorite posts from this past month? What are your goals for August?
