The holidays are right around the corner – can you believe it? Halloween, Thanksgiving, and countless winter holidays such as New Year’s Eve are all just a few months away.
For most people, this means that there will be many get together's and parties to attend, a lot of food to be eaten, desserts galore, and more. Many people gain weight around the holidays for this very reason!
If you are like me, you probably still want to stay in shape. Below are the different ways you can stay fit around the holidays.

1. Continue to work out regularly.
To stay in shape, you will still want to work out regularly. This means still making the time to fit in a workout at least a few times a week.
What I like to do is to make my workouts fun. This way it doesn’t seem like such a drag to fit it in. This may mean rock climbing, going hiking, going for a walk or a run with friends (and talking a majority of the time, of course), and so on.
Workouts can still be fun!
2. Eat healthy food and in moderation.
While you may be surrounded by unhealthy food during the holiday season, you can still eat healthy. The key with healthy food though is to eat in moderation. You can still enjoy a piece of cake or pie; just don’t eat the whole thing if you do not need to 🙂
3. Have healthy snacks.
There are many different healthy snacks you could have. There are energy bars (discussed below as well), fruit, vegetables, and more.
4. Enjoy the holidays.
The holidays are a fun time of the year for many people. Still, enjoy it; just be realistic with what you are eating!
