When you buy exercise clothing, do you go for stylish, or more practical and comfortable?
I try to find a mixture of both because I live in workout clothing around the clock, especially since I work at home.
Workout gear can get expensive, which is why I wanted to list out a few different options.
Everyone has a different style, size, and certain workout clothing does better in certain sports (i.e. climbing, weightlifting, yoga).
When it comes to healthy eating, as always, I recommend Hannah’s recipe books. I’m not a fan of most recipe books because I’m looking for easy and cheap, and thankfully, the e-books comprise of both. I don’t like when recipes have 10+ ingredients for every single meal. It’s not practical, in my opinion, especially for people who live busy lifestyles.
Below is a list of in-person or online stores that will give you good quality clothing for a low to moderate cost.
One of the biggest complaints I hear from people wanting to lose weight is that they either don’t have time, or it’s too much work. Basically, many people want to lose weight but don’t always have the motivation to do the work. That being said, I want to share with you some tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way to help you reach your goal in the easiest way possible. Trust me, some of these things you already do in your daily routine. The everyday Chicago lifestyle, as they say!
Take the stairs instead of the elevator. You know how they say less is more? This is how it works. By adding just a little exercise in the day, you start shedding the pounds and toning up.
Switch out the junk food for delicious, healthy alternatives. If you find yourself reaching for the snacks, try something like yogurt. I got into the kick lately of eating tomatoes like apples. Next thing I knew, I was down 6 pounds!
Take the dog for a walk. He could use it, and so could you. Let’s face it, walking a dog can make your otherwise boring walk a little better. If you can’t get your hands on a dog, pop your earbuds in and listen to your favorite music.
Break your food intake down. We’ve all been told since the dawn of time that we need 3 square meals a day to keep a healthy lifestyle. But, you can actually split it into 6 smaller meals throughout the day. So if you get hungry every 2 hours, eat every 2 hours!
Get yourself an app to help you count your calories and sodium intake. If you consider how many calories you need to eat and how many milligrams of sodium, you can keep track of what you eat by scanning barcodes and the app does all the work. By the way, you should try cooking with more spices instead of salt. All the top chefs do it and it will help you retain less water.
So there you have it! Minor changes that won’t kill you to make, and you can actually improve your lifestyle and help you lose weight. Even if you don’t think you have time, as said above, these are done in your everyday routine so you won’t have to worry about finding more time. Quick, easy and great steps to be a better you!
The other day, I was walking home with a friend after a nice refreshing jog on a beautiful spring day here in Austin, Texas.
As I was walking up a hill and getting closer to my house, a man came driving down the street and was turning into a parking lot, driving over the sidewalk my friend and I were walking on.
He nearly hit me with his car, and in the process, he got mad at me for reasons I’m unsure of. It really is one of the most bizarre things to ever happen to me, and I have trouble even explaining it because it makes no sense.
Anyway, he ended up getting out of his car and was ready to fight me. He said he was angry because I made an angry face at him, (which was my WTF JUST HAPPENED face).
What kind of reaction was I supposed to have to this? I didn’t flip him off, cuss, or anything of that nature, but he didn’t care. He wanted to fight.
He was actually trying to fight me. He kept aggressively pointing at me and was raging. I didn’t say anything because I was in such shock, and he ended up getting back in his car.
