Sweet, Hollywood rides—audiences all over the world love seeing them shown off and put to the test when we go to the movies. After all, movies allow us to live vicariously through the experiences of their characters; who wouldn’t want to go gallivanting through space and time in the DeLorean, or rocket by at 100+ speeds in one of The Fast and the Furious’ turbo-charged machines…. Reasons To Live A Healthy Lifestyle
Why should you care to live a healthy lifestyle?
Many people have no idea why fitness enthusiasts do what they do. I've heard people ask why skinny people were in the gym in the first place. This and other things I've heard blow my mind and even set off my temper a little bit. But I hear this so much and over time realized you can't get mad over people's opinions and thoughts…. Read more

St. Thomas Vacation
Hello, everyone! Hope all is well. I recently got home from a FABULOUS vacation in the Virgin Islands with my sister. I can't believe I've never been there before. I advise everyone to come at least once. I've seen and done so many things and have witnessed a different type of beauty of the earth I've never seen before. I've done all kinds of new things I've never done before. Checking off a few things off my bucket list.
I stayed at SugarBay Resort on the island of St. Thomas. The people were so incredibly nice here, I didn't meet one mean person. The environment was so friendly and nice. I'm definitely going back one day.
First Day
My first day was basically getting myself together and letting in the beautiful scenery. The islands were something I've never experienced before. The Virgin Islands looked unreal. This is the first time I've ever actually been on a tropic island. I put my bikini on as quick as I could and ran out to the water! I probably took a million pictures.
I could seriously live here one day and be satisfied working as some type of workout instructor out here. Can we all dream, right? I had my first legal drink here (you only have to be 18 to drink here, I'm 20). This vacation gave me a little taste of what it will be like when I'm 21. I definitely won't be the type of person to go out all the time, that's not who I am. We finished off the night eating at a fancy restaurant and reality still hasn't set in.
Second Day
The second day we went to a breakfast buffet. I tried my hardest to maintain the 80/20 rule. 80% healthy and 20% what I want. I ate eggs/sausage/potatoes/fruit in the morning. After breakfast, we headed straight to the beach to go snorkeling. I've never been snorkeling before and didn't know what was to come. Being able to see everything underwater was one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed. The fish weren't afraid of you, they would swim with you.
We eventually went kayaking and got a good arm workout in. Didn't even feel like a workout. We had some drinks, met some cool people, and relaxed. I had a good nap on a hammock overlooking the water as well.
Third Day
The third day my sister and I went parasailing for the first time. I was pretty nervous before taking off. I've heard of people dying from parasailing. A lady died 2 years ago in basically the same spot we were parasailing from the rope snapping. As we were flying up into the air, you could see EVERYTHING. I seriously advise everyone to go parasailing once, even if you are afraid of heights. I was deadly afraid of seeing sharks from up high. Every time our parasailing instructor lowered us to the water, all I kept thinking of was sharks snatching us and eating us whole. I guess I would have died in paradise, though, right?
It started raining extremely hard for about an hour. My sister and I decided to go to their gym and do a workout while it rained. I put her through a short workout and did it with her as well. We focused on total body workouts and we worked up a great sweat.
Fourth Day
The fourth day and final night were mainly a day of relaxing. We laid out on the beach, went paddle boarding for the first time, and did a lot of kayaking and snorkeling. I was pretty nervous to go paddle boarding at first. Standing up on a board while rowing at the same time sounded treacherous. Paddle boarding turned out to be one of my favorite things during the trip. You get to see the water at a great view. It was so incredibly beautiful. The water was crystal clear, something I've never witnessed in real life before.
Leaving St. Thomas is bittersweet. While I was here I felt totally out of reality. The past month at home has been a lot to take in. Working 2 jobs and going on a third interview is pretty overwhelming. Starting school and taking online Personal Trainer courses is a lot to focus on. This vacation helped me breathe a little bit and relax.
I want to enjoy every step I take these next few years and enjoy the experiences I'm blessed to have. I'm happy to be home and loving this new tan I have.
Do you have any fun vacations planned for this year?

“Grab your weights and work your arms! I suggest two pairs of dumbbells: one set that is 3-8 pounds and one set that is 10-20 pounds, but use whatever challenges you without forcing you to quit early.”
This is a great workout from Back on Pointe. Enjoy!
