Did you know you can drastically change the course of your life just by reading books?
The list below will be categorized in personal development, health & fitness, entrepreneurial, and money. Enjoy!
1. You Are A Badass
I stumbled upon this book in an airport when I was bored one day and little did I know it would change my life.
You Are A Badass is a transformational book that will teach you how to stop doubting yourself.
You'll learn to love yourself and start living an awesome life, just as the book cover says. It's so true!
I recommend reading this book s-l-o-w-l-y and really taking in what the author is saying.
If you read this book quickly without really understanding what she is explaining, you'll learn nothing.
“By the end of You Are a Badass, you will understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can't change, how to change what you don't love, and how to start living the kind of life you used to be jealous of.”
The Gifts of Imperfection will teach you how to let go of who you think you're supposed to be.
You'll learn how to embrace who you are and increase your self-worth.
You'll begin to finally love yourself and treat yourself with acceptance and love.
This book can transform your way of thinking if you give it a chance.
There were many skeptics that this book would be a typical self-love book and it isn't.
The Gifts of Imperfection is so much more than that.
Madly In Love With Me will teach you how to love yourself and become your own best friend.
This book will teach you how to value, love, and care for yourself in practical, fun ways.
There are exercises in the book that will make this process easier. This is a great book to give to a teenager, too!
I only read this book last month and again, l i f e – c h a n g i n g.
Girl, Wash Your Face is such a fun read. The author exposes the many lies and misconceptions that often hold us back from living our best life.
5. The Compound Effect
The Compound Effect is a book perfect for people who want to achieve more in their relationships, businesses, and other areas of life.
I use the compound effect in all areas of my life, especially with my health + weight loss and business.
It's been life-changing. You learn how to ditch bad habits and create the kinds of habits you want in your life to be happier and more fulfilled.
6. The Secret
I was pleasantly surprised by The Secret.
In The Secret, you'll learn how to change every aspect of your life by using the power within you to create joy in every aspect of your life, whether it be money, health, relationships, and more.
It's a pretty quick read and has a lot of good takeaways that you can implement in your own life.
Health & Fitness
7. The Obesity Code
The Obesity Code is a must-read for every person on the planet.
If you want to learn how to lose weight the easiest way possible, read this book.
The Obesity Code teaches people how to practice intermittent fasting, which has been a daily practice of mine for years.
To give you a quick definition, intermittent fasting is when you don't eat for x amount of hours and eat for x amount of hours. Doing that gives you various health benefits, which all are listed in this book.
For example, I fast 16:8, which means I fast for 16 hours and eat within an 8-hour time frame.
Some days I practice 48-hour fasts and I experience incredible benefits, such as clear skin, reduced bloat, weight loss, and so on.
Gut health is something I've only recently come to learn about.
The book Gut: The Inside Story of Our Body's Most Underrated Organ dives into many topics that range from how gut health can affect mood (and potentially cause depression) as well as how gut health can affect obesity.
If you've been struggling with something in your life and can't find out what it could possibly be, it could very well have to do with your gut health.
And even if you are experiencing no problems at all, understanding how the gut works and why it is so important is always great knowledge to have.

10. The Introvert Entrepreneur
Are you an introvert? Same here!
The Introvert Entrepreneur is a must-read for introverts who want to amplify their strengths and create success in their own way.
I love this book because it teaches you how to use your personality type to improve your business.
Being an introvert is not a bad thing, and it's something us introverts should be grateful for.
P.S. If you're an introvert, the book Quiet is another must-read.
11. People Over Profit
People Over Profit is a great read for people looking to start their own business.
You learn the importance of putting people first. People Over Profit has several examples of companies in the world that have failed from putting profit over people (McDonald's, Wells Fargo, etc.).
12. YouTube Secrets
If you're looking to create a YouTube channel, this book is incredible!
YouTube Secrets is packed with information and is the ultimate guide for creating a successful and profitable YouTube channel.

The author shares how to expand our skill set and how to be the boss at work, even if you aren't the boss.
Boss Bitch is particularly great for entrepreneurs that are starting their own business or already have a business and how to be successful at doing so.
15. Broke Millenial
Broke Millennial: Stop Scraping By And Get Your Financial Life Together is the perfect book for 20 or 30 somethings that are finding it difficult to handle their finances.
You will learn how to deal with money in relationships, managing student loans, budgeting, investing, retirement planning, and so much more.
You'll also learn how our mindset around money can deeply affect how we treat and handle money.
This is one of my favorite money books, and my boyfriend enjoyed it too despite finding finances cumbersome.
16. Love Your Life, Not Theirs
In Love Your Life, Not Theirs: 7 Money Habits For Living The Life You Want, you'll learn about how damaging living a life of comparison is and how it can wreck your finances.
This book is incredibly different from others and another favorite of mine because it dives deep into comparison and how people will pay for a house or car they can't even afford, just to impress others.
This book will also give you real-world strategies to use to better your life.
17. You Are A Badass At Making Money
You Are A Badass At Making Money: Master The Mindset of Wealth does just that.
Reading this book completely transformed my mindset around money in all areas of my life.

18. Retired Inspired
Retired Inspired was the first book I've ever read on retirement planning.
In my early twenties, I didn't care to learn about retirement.
In fact, I avoided it at all costs because the topic intimidated me so much.
At 25, I finally decided to dive in and read my first retirement planning book.
Retired Inspired is an incredible read that I also read in 1 night. The author explains everything in layman's terms and makes it very easy to digest.
19. The Financial Diet
The Financial Diet is a fantastic book to read if you're completely clueless about anything related to personal finance.
If you're an intermediate or pro at money, I don't recommend reading this book as it only dives into a beginner level of information.
In The Financial Diet you'll learn:
- how to get good with money in a year.
- the ingredients everyone needs to have a budget-friendly kitchen.
- how to talk about awkward money stuff with your friends.
- the best way to make (and stick to!) a budget.
- how to take care of your house like a grown-up.
- what the hell it means to invest (and how you can do it).
20. When Breath Becomes Air
When Breath Becomes Air is a book that left me feeling a thousand different emotions by the end.
At 36 year old, the author of When Breath Becomes Air was completing a decade's worth of training as a neurosurgeon.
And then he was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer.
A must-read book that you won't want to put down when you first open it.
21. So Much I Want To Tell You: Letters To My Little Sister
So Much I Want To Tell You: Letters To My Little Sitter is written by a woman whose little sister commits suicide and goes on to process her grief by using comedy.
She eventually starts a YouTube channel amassing millions of views and followers.
The book is basically written as if she was talking to her sister and what she wishes she could tell her.
One of my favorite reads of 2018!
When is a book all about the scientific secrets of perfect timing.
The author uses research from psychology, biology, and economics.
This read was not only educational but kind of terrifying! When made me realize how a lot of decisions can be poorly made just because of time alone.
