It is now August already (where did this year go?!) and it’s time for college students to start buying their textbooks.
Instead of buying my textbooks at the original retail price, I always rent mine from online sites for up to 90% cheaper. I am always stunned when I hear people buy textbooks for their full marketed price.Related links:

Buying textbooks aren’t all bad, though.
There are perks to buying your own textbooks, though. Some of these perks include being able to write in your textbooks and not worry about anything getting damaged. Also, if you for some reason lose your textbook, you won’t be in a panic about how you’re going to pay back the site you rented it from.
As long as you are organized and take good care of your textbooks, you shouldn’t have to worry about any of those problems.

The site I use to save money.
I wanted to share with everyone a site I recently found right before I bought all of my textbooks. I am SO happy I found this site because it does all the heavy duty work for me.
The site is called BIGWORDS.com
If you know anyone that likes to save money and rent their textbooks, send them right away to this website. I always wasted so much time comparing textbooks on sites and I wish I could get all of those wasted hours back. This site will list all of the sites and sort the prices from lowest to highest. How have I just now heard of this nonsense?! And this is not a sponsored post or anything like that, it’s a website that I actually love.
I bought all of my books with the help of this search engine and I saved tons of money. Before I found this website, all of my books were going to cost me about $400 to rent in total. After using this website, the books will cost me under $300. How awesome is that?
$100 saved easily!
This site not only finds your textbook for the cheapest, it also allows you to put a certain book in your “bookbag” where you can store your books that you will need in the future so you don’t forget.
This site also has a “coupons” area where you can find coupons to all of the big bookstores. This site pretty much saves you money in every aspect when it comes to buying books!
So if you have a child or friend that buys or rents textbooks, please send them to BIGWORDS.com so they can save a ton of money. I wish someone would have told me about this site before I wasted all of those hours comparing textbook prices online.
Fun Fact: Did you know that countries “remake” the textbooks that are used here in America but for WAY cheaper? I never knew that and I’m not sure if I would trust that, but I rented a book anyway that is an international textbook. We will see how this goes. Crossing my fingers!
Do you rent or have you rented textbooks in the past? What sites have you used?
