Staying on track on the weekends can be such a problem for most people.
I used to struggle with it myself and I’m constantly finding new ways to stay on track.
1. Surround yourself with people who have goals and live a healthy lifestyle.
It’s so much easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you don’t have temptation around you.
Obviously, there will be people around you that eat pretty unhealthy and might steer you away from your goals, and when that does happen you will have to tap in your discipline and strength.
If you don’t know people in real life that are on a journey to a healthier life, find an online support group. I have a bunch of online fitness friends and we all support each other. We keep each other on track and hold each other accountable.

2. Have a plan ready before the weekend starts.
If you have trouble during the weekend say, on Friday/Saturday nights, come up with a plan before then. Have a meal already prepared ahead.
To make it even more enjoyable and fun, (and since you might have more time) search up a recipe online that might take a little longer and require more effort. This will make the meal even more delicious and it’ll be healthy as well.
Plus you’ll feel accomplished that you were able to make such a tasty meal that is ALSO good for you.
3. Come up with a physical FUN activity for the weekend.
I love participating in free activities such as hiking and bike riding. This is when I really get in tuned with the environment and the world around me.
The Earth is SUCH a beautiful place yet many of us don’t take the time to appreciate and explore it. There’s nothing like going on a hike with no music or a cell phone going off. It’s just me, the natural environment, and no hustle and bustle of the city life.

4. You can also partake in a fun activity such as paint night out.
There are tons of new painting places coming out that help you create a beautiful painting even if you don’t know how to paint at all. They usually incorporate wine into the paint night as well. This is a fun idea for a date night out and it’s fairly inexpensive.

5. Schedule weekly weigh ins for Monday mornings, instead of the usual Friday/Saturday weigh ins.
This will create extra accountability during the weekend and you’ll be even more motivated to stay on track during the weekend. Also, make sure you are doing measurements of your whole body because the weight scale is unlikely to budge as you get closer to your goals.
Measuring your body gives you more of an idea of how you are progressing. Remember, you could be gaining muscle which means the weight scale won’t be moving at all.
