It is 2015 and just after many people set New Year’s resolutions. Hopefully, you have not quit your any of your 2015 goals yet, as I believe you have whatever it takes in you to reach your goals and have a successful year.
Below are my three tips to be more healthy and take control of your life.

1. Cut fast food out of your life.
No matter how you want to put it, fast food is not healthy. You should always try to avoid this as you really do not know what you are putting in your stomach and your whole body.
It’s also a huge waste of money. Save your money instead and make yourself a meal at home. If you still aren’t sold on this idea, calculate all of your receipts together and see how much you spend each week. You’ll be in for quite a surprise. All of that money could instead be going towards healthy foods.
2. Start with a satisfying drink in the morning.
If you aren’t getting enough of what you need each day, then you should look into making more protein and other shakes each day. This can help you get a better workout in each day. Also, it can be a great way to get a snack and/or meal in instead of eating something unhealthy.
I drink a smoothie every morning. My shake consists of the following ingredients:
- 1 scoop Garden of Life raw organic powder. This is by far the best protein for your body as it’s all natural and raw. It’s also vegan which is a plus!
- 1TBS peanut butter
- 1 spoonful of chia seeds
- 1/2 banana
I prefer using the chocolate Garden of Life powder. It tastes amazing and you’ll be quite surprised with how satisfied you will be.

3. Create a workout routine.
If you do not have a workout routine yet, then you should create a plan now. This will help you stick to a plan, realize what you have to do in order to reach your goals and more.
Even if you can’t dedicate a long workout multiple times a week, just doing something small each day can greatly help you become more healthy.

The above websites have plenty of workouts to choose from, as well as meal plans to help you succeed. Nutrition is just as important as exercise, if not more important.
Having a plan in place is crucial for staying motivated and on track. Keep in mind this is a healthy lifestyle change, you are not on a “diet”. This way you will be able to maintain this lifestyle for life.
