I used Uber for the first time in Denver, Colorado. As most of you know, I went couchsurfing in Denver and on my way to the airport I decided to use Uber instead of taking the long bus ride. I had such a great experience even though I was extremely hesitant on using it.

Hey, guys! My winter break is coming up and it will be my first long break since I’ve moved to the Chicago ‘burbs.
I’m pretty excited, to say the least. I have about a month off and I plan on doing lots of cleaning/organizing along with coming up with new goals for next month!
Since I’m going to have a whole month off, I plan on doing more than just working the entire time. That’s what the old me would do, but not anymore! I’m going to make the most out of my time and try to do a little traveling as well…. Read more
For someone going from a sedentary lifestyle to a more active lifestyle, it can be a challenge to keep the enthusiasm to exercise regularly.
Losing weight is a common goal for many people who start a fitness plan, but even if you’re just exercising to keep fit, finding motivation can be hard to find on cold, dark days or when you’re feeling tired. It’s important not to let bad habits kick in.
Stick to your plan by following these motivation tips…. Read more
Staying motivated and inspired to keep a healthy lifestyle is easy for some, but others don’t have it so easy.

Hey, guys! So I’m finally able to say I’m a couchsurfer. I did it.
I met up with a complete stranger from Couchsurfing. They have verified/background checked and had numerous references, so I went the “safer” route.
I’m officially in love with this site! I saved A TON of money since I don’t have to spend anything on a hotel. I also got a personal “tour guide” all to myself. This was an amazing experience and has motivated/inspired me to do this again.
I plan on taking a 2 week trip in December solely using the couchsurfing site. I’d like to hit up 3-4 places during those 2 weeks, but I haven’t decided where I will travel to yet…. Read more
Depending on what your regular schedule looks like, it’s most likely filled with school, different jobs, children, various outside activities and so on. We are faced with different tasks we have to deal with on a daily basis.
For college students, most of us have regular part-time jobs and some even have full-time jobs. I have a classmate that works up to 70 hours a week while going to school full-time.
So, what is a person supposed to do when they are loaded with an abundance amount of stress?
Working the body to its maximum capacity is what many people do in the average life at one point or another. We forget that we have to take care of our mind and equally as important, our bodies.
So what do I do to help myself in the days when I’ve hit my max capacity and can no longer take the stress?… Read more
Hello, everyone! I have made a few quick workouts for all of you. These can be done anywhere, anytime. Whenever I am on break at work or using the restroom, I do all kinds of different quick workouts.
I don’t like to use any excuses and I especially don’t like the “I have no time excuse”.
Here are a few different things I do during my day to get some kind of workout in. This all adds up to a pretty good workout once the day is over! For each of these workouts, I try to aim for 3 sets of 20 reps. I sometimes do more depending on how “easy” the workout is…. Read more
No matter what age you are, I believe every person should have some kind of emergency fund. When I have children, I plan on having some kind of emergency fund for them as well as well as my savings.
I believe a college student should have at least $1,500 in their emergency fund, and more depending on your circumstances.
This can also vary depending on a person’s situation, but I believe that number allows enough room in case if anything were to happen, there would still be money left over.
Having an emergency fund is extremely important for numerous reasons…. Read more
