It's never too late to start getting active, according to a new study from University College London – and even things like gardening and washing the car go a long way to prevent illness after retirement. Researchers from the university examined the health and lifestyle habits of 3,500 people over 65, revealing that people who do a moderate physical activity at least once every week were two and a half times less likely to experience long-term illnesses, such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
Moderate physical activity doesn't have to involve much: walking to the shops or doing a few jobs in the garden is enough to get the blood flowing and stave off illness. And according to the study, older people who do a vigorous physical activity at least once a week, such as aerobics, hill walking and jogging, were three and a half times more likely to stay healthy in their old age.

There are many reasons for why I want to get a credit card. The main reason is so that I can start working on building my credit with an actual credit card.
This can then help me buy things such as a house or get approved for an apartment. I want to start now so that I don't have to worry about not being able to get something later on just because I don't have sufficient credit history.

Furnishing a new home can be expensive. There are so many things that need to be bought, and so many things that you probably haven't thought of.
I have seen cheap dining room tables go for $100, and I have seen more expensive ones (of course, the ones that I love!) go for thousands.
AH! $3,000 for a dining room table? I know that these tables are probably much better quality, but that is a lot of money to spend.
Dining room chairs can quickly add up as well. You might find yourself spending $50 or hundreds of dollars per chair…. Read more
The period after high school can be a hard time. Most schools do not teach young adults enough about personal finance. I think there should be a class in high school teaching students how to write a check, pay bills, buy a house, pay for college and so on. Hopefully one day it is a requirement for all schools!… Read more
