Waterproof makeup products come in handy in all sorts of situations. Whether you're working out, on the beach, or just enjoying a hot summer day, waterproof makeup can protect your face from that uncomfortable feeling of makeup melting off.
The most important face products for working out or hot weather would be a foundation, concealer, and eye makeup.
Living in Austin, Texas means summers are often hot and humid. Because of this, I've started using waterproof makeup products since it feels like I'm constantly working out, even if I'm just standing outside for 10 minutes.
Items listed will be vegan and cruelty-free, as they all should be.
1. Kat Von D Liner
This eyeliner works wonders for oily and combination skin. The precision applicator glides on smoothly and can create a defined look with little effort.
The product is long-lasting and doesn't smudge. Kat Von D's entire line is absolutely amazing, which is why you'll see her products more than once.
P.S. Her foundation is by far the best foundation I've ever used. I have been using light 47 for the past 6 months. There are shades of all skin colors and types, as well as cooling and warming undertones.
2. Elf Baked Highlighter
Elf's products can be both a hit and miss, but I've found that when their products are good, they are REALLY good for a low cost.
If applied wet, the highlighter comes off more vibrant. The highlighter is also infused with properties to hydrate your skin properly.
3. Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay
This 12-hour full coverage foundation is both blendable and buildable, allowing you to create your own unique look.
If you want to add more layers of foundation, it has a buildable formula that makes it easy to do so. Tarte is also formulated with ingredients that are good for the skin and the environment.
4. Tarte Shape Tape
If you watch beauty YouTubers, you have probably heard of Shape Tape by now, several times. I have not heard of one person disliking this concealer, which is why it's almost always sold out. This full coverage concealer gives a natural finished look for all skin types.
Tarte recommends wearing a shade that is 2 shades lighter for contouring. Tarte is a great brand to buy from if you are looking for high-quality vegan and cruelty-free makeup!
5. NYX Doll Eye Mascara
This waterproof formula both extends and adds volume to workouts. Your lashes will also be coated with natural oils and vitamin e to moisturize and protect from any breakages.
6. Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
This lipstick is both long-lasting and hydrating. The Everlasting Liquid Lipstick provides a high pigment, creamy formula that has a matte finish. Infused are both vitamin e and sunflower seed to create a comfortable feel on your lips.
Kat Von D's makeup line is at Sephora and online.
7. Tarte Deodorant
Tarte's deodorant leaves zero white marks on your clothing. It protects your from odor for long periods of time, and even works well on sensitive skin.
The ingredients contain natural plant ingredients, such as aloe that helps avoid irritation on the skin, as well as leaving a vanilla scent.
8. NYX Microbrow
NYX Microbrow is a great dupe for Anastasia's eyebrow liner, which is $20+. It even looks the exact same. You can get this brow liner at Ulta, which often have sales for NYX products. I use the Microbrow and it does not fade or transfer at all.
* You also get points every time you shop at Ulta, but you're required to let them know that you want to use your points. The staff are not allowed to remind you of your points (in stores that I've shopped at). Once I figured this out, I found out I had $50 from my Ulta points.
9. NYX Lipstick
NYX has some of the best matte lipsticks. They're long-lasting, provide a smooth matte finish, and are soft and smooth on the lips. They're also incredibly affordable.
10. NYX Setting Spray
I've been using this spray for as long as I can remember. It's long lasting and creates a matte finish to ensure your makeup stays on for a long time. It's raved among beauty bloggers, too!
Wearing makeup while exercising can sometimes be seen as attention seeking, but is it really?
I don't see anything wrong with a woman or man wanting to wear makeup to amp up their look. When I feel good about what I look like when I workout, it makes me workout even harder. I'm more confident and stronger.
