You might have heard in a magazine or online that researchers have found out that listening to music during a workout EXTREMELY boosts your workout and how hard you push. I don’t think scientists had to discover that, but I guess now there’s actual proof. Whenever I workout, I like to put in my jumbo headphones in that really thump in my ears.
This really pushes me and gets me going during weightlifting and cardio workouts. Here’s a list of some of the music that really motivates me and pushes me through my workouts.
Avicci- Wake Me Up
Katy Perry- Roar
Anything by Future, 2Chainz.
Jay Z new album is a new favorite of mine as well. I always liked Jay Z but wasn’t too terribly crazy about him, but this album really changed my mind about him and made me love him! I also am a new-found lover of Beyonce as well!
Applause- Lady Gaga. This song REALLY pumps me up during my workouts. I feel like I can lift heavier during this song.
Safe and Sound.
Anything by Blink182. I will ALWAYS love Blink182!
The music I tend to listen to the most would have to be rock and rap. I believe the sounds and bass really get me going during my workout and give me tons of energy. I wonder why this is.
I also find that a lot of house music can really pump me up. You either love house music or hate it in my opinion. I know quite a lot of people who hate it. I like to be open-minded towards my music.
I’m a pretty big fan of jazz and classical music, but listening to this music during a workout really slows me down. I’ve tried this and felt like many times I was going to pass out right then and there on the bench. If you can listen to jazz and classical music during a workout, I’m quite impressed with you. This is something that I just couldn’t possibly do.
My boyfriend likes to listen to metal music when he works out, I’ve tried it. Didn’t work out too well. If anything I was scared and jumpy. I’ve never been too crazy for metal, hardcore screamo music. I can never quite understand what the artists are saying, but I’m not opposed to this music either. Everyone likes their own thing. Are you a metal listener when you workout?
I am a huge country music lover, but I have realized listening to country music doesn’t boost my energy during my workouts. Maybe because most of the songs are slower and about breaking up or falling in love. That’s just my theory though. Can you listen to country music when you workout?
What kind of music do you listen to when you workout? Do you find that it helps you?
Also, what are some songs that pump you up that I haven’t listed on here?
