Today millions of Americans are uninsured. According to a 2015 report from the Kaiser Family Foundation, about 28.5 million Americans do not have health care coverage even after the passing of the Affordable Health Care Act. This is a staggering number, and lower-income people are still the largest portion of the population that are most affected by this issue.Continue reading →
Hey, everyone! I’m so happy to share with you an ebook that I have been obsessed with the past 2 weeks. As many you already know, New Years has passed, which means New Year’s resolutions are in full force. I already eat pretty healthy but decided I wanted 2017 to be the year I cut out added sugar, salt, and oil.
I have only been using this guide for a little over a week and have seen amazing results in the way I feel and how I look. I’m much more lean in my stomach area and I’m eating satisfying foods that actually taste amazing! I love that I can get potatoes, rice, and other foods I’m obsessed with, and get fitter at the same time. My boyfriend even said that I seem a lot happier, which is an added bonus!
Below is everything you’ll need to know about the Lean and Clean plan, and why I encourage trying it out.
I also want to point out that I would never recommend a health plan unless I TRULY believed in it, which is why I haven’t encouraged a health/weight loss plan until now.
Water is such a vital part of life, which is why I’ve decided to test my water to ensure it meets safety requirements. With what’s been going on in the news lately with cities having issues with their water meeting safety requirements, I thought it was crucial to test my water now.
Not only do I drink the water coming out of our faucet, so does my boyfriend, dogs, and friends that come over. A water testing kit is affordable and includes many different tests such as Lead, Bacteria, Pesticide, Iron, Copper, and tons more.
In Flint, Michigan, many residents went without safe water for a year, and the government knew what was going on. It’s better to be safe than sorry and get your water tested. Get some peace of mind and test your water for yourself. Continue reading →
2016 was a crazy year for me. I left my job in the special education field, departed for a 2-month journey in Europe as an au pair and explored Western Europe by myself, moved to Austin (which I love!!) and became a full-time blogger!
Of all the 23 years of living, I feel like 2016 was the year I really grew into a strong, independent young woman. It was only once I got back to the United States did I realize how much crazy sh*t I did abroad. I’m still left in so much shock when I look back at what I did! Growing up I always relied on other people and enjoyed having others around, and this year was the complete opposite. I wanted to explore the world and get a bit uncomfortable, which I did.
It’s almost 2017 (and maybe already 2017 when you’re reading this), so I thought I would share my top health and fitness posts from this year. I’ve combined my top posts all in one post, so you can gain a lot of knowledge all from here.
2016 was a life changing year for me. I left for Europe for a couple months to Au Pair, traveled Western Europe solo, went to Europe again to see London (my new favorite city!), moved to Texas (never thought I would, but I LOVE Austin!), and became a full-time blogger. 2016 was a huge learning experience for me. 2017 is going to be another amazing year and I’m super stoked to see what the future holds.
