Hey everyone! The other day I talked all about my fitness mistakes that I have made. Today is part 2!
I’ve learned so much from my fitness and health journey the past couple years. Hopefully you all can learn from my past mistakes. Sometimes I’ll look back at my past mistakes and find myself asking how I could even do such a stupid thing for so long.
So, I’m going to share with all of you what I have done in the past to try to lose weight and exactly why it didn’t work for me.
Mistake #3 Eventually I did get healthier, and felt bad when I had a ‘cheat’ meal, so I would refrain from a cheat meal and go my hardest without one. Do NOT do this. You deserve a ‘TREAT’ meal for all your hard work.
I know I called it a cheat meal at the beginning of this, but it’s better if you call it a treat meal. By calling it a cheat meal, you are making it sound guilty and therefore you’ll feel bad while you are eating your meal.
Don’t ever feel bad by eating what you want every once or awhile. I usually have my treat meal at the end of the week, but I make sure it’s not a full day’s worth of food, and I always make sure I exercise or do some kind of fun physical activity as well.
Taking every weekend off
Mistake #4 Taking weekends off and not working out or eating right. I find the weekend to be the most difficult time to stay on track, and I’m sure most people can agree with me on that.
To make it less harder to slip up during the weekend, make sure you do some kind of physical activity on both days. Try to go relatively hard as you would during the week on the Saturday, and on the Sunday do something light and fun if you prefer. On Sundays I usually go bike riding or I do a moderate pace hike.
What mistakes have you done in the past that we can all learn from?
Have you ever done any of the mistakes I’ve done?
